Career Opportunities at St. Thomas

Located in the heart of Houston, off the grassy banks of Buffalo Bayou, St. Thomas High School is the oldest Catholic boy's school in Texas. St. Thomas is a premier college preparatory high school with an outstanding work environment and is always looking for dedicated faculty, administrators and staff.

School Archivist
This position is responsible for the reception, processing, maintenance, organization, storage, and retrieval of the archival holdings (manuscripts, photographs, scrapbooks, etc.), as well as the researching of historical facts of the school upon requests, and the preparation of occasional displays and exhibits at various school events, especially for the school’s Alumni Association.  Salary aligned with experience and education.  A graduate degree in archival studies is preferred. A master's in library science (ALA accredited) with course work in archival studies or a graduate degree in history (or related field) with course work in archival studies will be considered as an acceptable educational background for this position. This position requires excellent written and oral communication, managerial, organizational, and computer skills.
