Eagle Basketball 47
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Max Vosloh ‘18 continued his mid-season scoring surge, draining eight of his team-high 17 points in a fourth-quarter rally to send the Eagles to a much-needed district victory.
TURNING POINT
Eagle Basketball trailed 32-31 before Drake Everist ‘18 turned an SPX turnover into a driving bucket for the first St. Thomas lead since the closing minutes of the first half.
Jared Cebrun ‘18 connected with a leaner through traffic, and Vosloh followed with a three-point bomb from the right corner and a scoring drive off an offensive rebound to push the count to 39-35 with 2:25 remaining.
The Eagles (11-12, 3-1) trailed throughout a laborious slow-tempo game but outscored SPX 13-0 over the final five and a half minutes, part of a 20-4 final period blitz after netting only 27 points through the first three quarters.
