Ryan Hernandez ‘23 has earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).
Hernandez was recognized at a Court of Honor with Troop 540, chartered through St. Ambrose Church, with his mother Julia, father Randy, and brother Andrew ‘18. Hernandez continues the distinguished legacy of Eagle scholars throughout generations who have reached this milestone accomplishment that is richly respected throughout the United States. He completed his demanding Eagle Scout project that involved fortifying and painting four industrial shipping containers used by St. Ambrose for vital storage.
Hernandez’s acclaimed tenure with BSA includes extensive involvement since the first grade, progressing the previous decade to the Eagle Scout rank. He earned a total of 24 merit badges with 13 required for his Eagle status.
Andrew is a senior at the University of Texas at San Antonio, pursuing a degree in Real Estate Finance and Development. He studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2020-21.
Hernandez’s scouting successes are a testament to the BSA values consistent with the Basilian credo of Teach Me Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge, deep dedication to community service, and allegiance to the purpose and goals of Troop 540.
