Freshman Application Process
The freshman application process starts by completing the following steps. If at any time you have any questions, please reach out to Admissions@sths.org or at 713-864-6348 ext. 175.
Already started the St. Thomas admission process?
Begin the St. Thomas High School’s online application by creating an admissions portal account. It is important to use a parent’s email address when creating this account. The application is a two-part process. Fill out the demographic portion of the application and submit the $75.00 application fee by January 15, 2025
Once complete, the admissions portal will generate a ten-item admissions checklist where you can view the required admissions documents, upload documents, and track the application’s progress. To complete the application for decision review the following supporting documentation must be completed by January 31, 2025.
Supporting Documents:
- Student Statement (prompt can be found in the portal)
- Resume
- Applicant Photo (optional)
- Math and English Teacher Recommendations
- Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE)
- Middle School Records
- 6th Grade Report Card
- 7th Grade Report Card
- 1st semester of 8th grade Report Card
- Standardized Test Scores
Complete applications submitted after January 31, 2025, will be reviewed on a rolling basis until June 1, 2025.
Request current English and Math teacher recommendations through the admissions portal. The teacher will receive the form electronically and will return the completed recommendation via portal or the teacher can email a copy to admissions@sths.org. We do not require a Principal/Counselor recommendation.
All Freshman applicants must take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Register for the ISEE at iseeonline.erblearn.org.
The ISEE may be taken at any test location, Prometric center or at home and have the results sent to St. Thomas High School using the school code #571055.
St. Thomas High School will offer the ISEE in the fall season on November 16 and then again in the Winter season on January 11.
